13.04 promises to be an amazing release. KDE has come a long way and the Kubuntu team are some of the most dedicated and hard working devs out there. Plus we have the best forums by a country mile.

it works for the nexus 7 but its crashes and i often have to restart transfers . i have been just sending to an FTp server on the nexus it also provides more then just "sd card" access this way.

Take a look at the program X-plore in the Play Store. I've been using it for a while. Looks to have some good network support, although I haven't tested that functionality yet.

X-plore and ES file explorer both do basicly the same thing. i have used both and perfer the interface of X-plore but when using it i have to disable its "use my own viewers" setting so things open in what i want them to instead of what ever plugin X-Plore uses for it.

Last time I checked ES Explorer, it didn't display symlinks as links. I think this is kind of an important distinction to make when listing the contents of a subdirectory.

I had used Root Explorer for many years; alas, it hasn't kept up with recent Android UI developments. Version 3.0 is supposed to be out soon, and I'll certainly check that out when it arrives.
