Hi. I have a toshiba laptop with an integrated conexant sount card.
A couple of times KDE has given me a dialog KDE has detected that one or more internal devices were removed. Do you wnat KDE to permanently forget about these devices.
I say "no".
The devices includ e Capture and Output devices
Out includes HDA Intel, Conexant Digital (three variations) and HDA Intel, HDMI 0 (four variations)
In System Settings Phonon Device Preference, the first listing "Internal Audio Analogue Stereo" is grey and can not be selected
Only Dummy output is available, but it doesn't make any sound.
I have pulse audio installed. Sound was working very well with 11.10. Only gstreamer backend is installed; it's all I've ever used.
Maybe this is a kernel issue?
