I just noticed today that whenever I reboot my computer the aplication icons all have migrated to the left side of the screen on one of my desktops. This doesn't happen to both of my desktops. On the original desktop all of the icons stick where I put them. I set up a second desktop last week and everything was fine until this morning. Is there any way to keep them in place from reboot to reboot?

To anyone with similar problems. It turns out that when setting up a new desktop, I somehow clicked the lock icons in place button in the desktop view settings and apparently the default is to line them up on the left side of the screen. Unlocking the button allows the user to place them where he wishes. And, so far at least, they remain where I've placed them.
