Changing the Muon notification frequency?

Hi.

I have a question regarding how frequently Muon notifies us of available updates, and whether it is possible to change the frequency.

KPackageKit allows the frequency to be changed from the default (daily?) to other values, such as weekly and monthly. I would like to change Muon so it will only let me know of updates every week (or every other week if possible).

I looked under the Configuration menu, but the notification frequency was not configurable there.

Both the KPackageKit and the Muon are using the same application to set the frequency of the update check. The application is the software-properties-kde.

Package: software-properties-kde

Description: manage the repositories that you install software from (kde)
This software provides an abstraction of the used apt repositories.
It allows you to easily manage your distribution and independent software
vendor software sources.

This package contains a Qt/KDE based graphical interface.

Muon Package Manager > Settings > Configure Software Sources.

Muon Software Center > Settings > Configure Software Sources.

kdesudo software-properties-kde

Updates tab -> Check for updates: Daily/Every two days/ Weekly/Every two weeks.


The software-properties-kde is editing the /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/10periodic.
