Precise Kubuntu won't see atheros card on AMD 64 dual core

Precise Kubuntu sees atheros card on an AMD single core 32 bit but not on AMD dual core 64.

Precise Kubuntu 32 bit won't install on the dual core machine, but it did install, of course, on the single core, which is kind of "opposite" that 32 bit will hit both.

So to restate this, Precise Kubuntu installed on a 32 bit AMD and did see the card, but will install on a 64 bit machine but won't see the same card.
