will we Kubuntu users benifit from this?

If RC6 ends up being enabled in the 12.04 kernel, then it will also benefit Kubuntu since Ubuntu and Kubuntu use the same kernel.

RC6 works great on my X1 with Intel HD3000 graphics.

On my T520, also with Intel HD3000 graphics, RC6 causes the system to lock up completely when VirtualBox is running a Windows 7 VM. Not immediately, but sometime within the first hour after starting the VM. The computer won't even respond to the Magic SysRq keys.
