    No sound

I cant get my sound to work, in settings audio hardware>sound card it always selects HDMI. If i change it to analog and press apply it reverts itself automatically. In device preferences I have it set to analog as well and a test from there is success full. But after I close the windows it just reverts back. Sound only works in amarok.

Also just noticed that trying to play an MKV file crashes my x.

Seems the video bug is confirmed

I had this problem a week or so ago. After a while "Internal Analog" became greyed out, unavailable.

What I did was: nothing. Eventually it cleared up. I may have rebooted, I may have quit and restarted kmix, but no one thing fixed it directly.

Hmm. On checking I may still have a problem with audio input (recording) - the settings are unavailable in that section.
I'd rather be locked out than locked in.

Good news. (You can mark the thread SOLVED using the thread tools menu at the top.)

I also fixed my audio recording problem - I had "Analog Stereo Output" as the profile for sound card "Internal Audio" - should have been "Analog Stereo Duplex". Although I'm sure I had to change that to make my earlier problem go away.
