    Precise and Wacom Bamboo tablet

I attempted to compile the source code for a driver to the Wacom Bamboo tablet, but it failed because it was written for the 2.6.30 kernel and failed for the 3.2.0 kernel.

While reading something on the web I noticed an article about the KDE Settings utility adding tablets to the "Input Devices" dialog. I plugged my wacom in and clicked on the Tablet icon. BINGO! 8)

The dialog allows for full calibration of the tablet, which is recognized automatically when it is plugged in.

Just as a matter of interest, does the stylus left tip still provide a 'left mouse click' after you have used input settings?

I ask because it is an annoying bug on Kubuntu 11.10. The only workaround seems to be remove the Wacom settings package and manually configure a Xconfig file for preferences (The kernel driver is fine).

There are some bug reports in Launchpad and upstream, but they aren't getting much attention.
