Usb Mouse Dead on start up

i have a Logitect M505 Usb mouse that i use with my laptop . i leave the connector always pluged in (its very small) . last night i did a fresh install of percise and for some reason when i start up the machine i have to unplug and then plug back in the mouse's adaptor before it works. i have never had to do this before. i was wondering if anyone had any idea as to why this is happening or noticed it with any of their usb devices that were pluged in on boot.

You are lucky I could not get my Logitech USB mouse and keyboard to work in 11.10 or 12.04 without doing the following:

This is the link that fixed the problem in Oneiric.
    https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...ev/+bug/872940
These directions above work except the file to edit in 12.04 is 97-bluetooth-hid2hci-rules.

Every once in a while during an update the file gets overwritten and I have to make the changes again.

I have the $9.99 Logitech M100 and it works great. Funny how sometimes the cheapest items work the best. :P

mine is a cheep USB mouse also, and this boot it was working on boot (maybe fixed via an update?) . its odd how i should change a bluetooth rule to get a usb device working... something about that seams just wrong.

My LogiTech M185 ($18 at Walmart or Amazon) worked just fine from running the LiveCD through to the running of Kubuntu in a dual boot.
