Just tried to check for updates for 11.10 and has come up with the following error.

W: GPG error: http://extras.ubuntu.com oneiric Release: The following signatures were invalid: BADSIG 16126D3A3E5C1192 Ubuntu Extras Archive Automatic Signing Key <ftpmaster@ubuntu.com>

What could have happened?

The repository has today's date stamp on it (1-Oct-2012), but it might be that the signing key hasn't yet been updated.

I'd like to know where this time stamp is that you saw because I cannot see a time stamp in the message.

I've sent an email to the address quoted in the error message. Should have down that instead of posting on here.

Just found out that the email address quoted in the error message won't except an email from me as it doesn't recognise my email address. Thanks for your help Ubuntu (Canonical). There starting to really p****** me off.

I think another distro might be getting installed on this machine.
