    Libreoffice error: failed:file:///usr/lib/libreoffice/program/../program/libdbalo.so

I installed Kubuntu 11.10 on a freinds laptop, upgraded to kde4.8.0 and kernel 3.2.

This is the same configuration as on my laptop.

When I start the mailmerge assisstant from extra->mailmerge I get the above message.

I could not find anything useful on the net.

Has anyone seen this as wel and maybe solved it?

Okay, I resolved this although in a very unconvetional way.

I got into her laptop with teamview, copied my
libdbalo.so from /usr/lib/libreoffice/progam to her's where it was missing.

To use the mail merge facility in OpenOffice (LibreOffice) you need to have the Base (database) application installed.

Yeah, I saw that later. She had forgotten to install base.
