Why does apper want to downgrade my LibreOffice? Help me defeat it!

Hi, back with another LO 3.5 issue it seems....
so doing normal updates via apper, mostly for ktorrent it seems, when out of the blue (all has been working just fine re LO lately) Apper decides it wants to remove this package:



and install all these,



which i'm sure will bugger my LO 3.5......

Anyone with any idea why this should be, and how to solve it?

Just a guess. Did you by chance disable the Libreoffice PPA?

I actually don't use the LO ppa, but have upgraded manually, mostly because this scares me into thinking that i'll end up with beta versions etc.of LO, and not 'official' releases....i may be wrong/stupid....

so no, in short, i did not disable the ppa.
maybe i need to add the ppa to avoid this though?

The ppa *seems* to track the official non-beta releases, but I don't know that for sure. I don't know how apper interacts with manually installed packages. Maybe someone who does will chime in.

if the ppa is indeed just tracking non beta's then i'd be happy to add it, i wonder if anyone else might know?

well, i added the ppa, and all seems well. Apper: i win....
