New gui theme

so when i originally installed kubuntu 11.10 it came with a somewhat windows style feel to the gui with the panel at the bottom etc, after updating all my files it switched to a new gui with the control panel on the side, and honestly, i don't like it as much as the previous version. is there a way to switch back to the previous gui setup?


revision: ok i just checked my system info, for whatever reason when i updated my files, it "upgraded" my system to ubuntu 11.10 o.0......is there a way to "downgrade" back to Kubuntu 11.10?

sounds like your loged in to the unity interface.(instead of kde) before you login check your login screen for a "sessions" button and select kde plasma workspace . if you don't have that then you may need to reinstall the package "kubuntu-desktop"
