PDFs with embedded documents - how to "delete" them

    hi there,

i have a 800mb pdf - where most of the Data size comes from embeded postscript Files.
As those are not needed (for me) - i want to have the pdf without those embedded files.
So far i only found a way to save them - but no way to save the pdf only.
Printing with cups is no solution as there are hyperlinks in the document which after printing are useless (or am i doing this wrong)?

    I uesd okular
    Any hint would be great

I have never been very successful at editing PDFs, but you might want to look here: List of PDF Editing tools for Ubuntu *|*Ubuntu Geek

pdftk is quite powerful (note it's a command line tool)
I'd rather be locked out than locked in.

      Thanks - that hint worked
I found a gui for pdftk - pdfchain.
As there is a package already available - just install through muon.
Then there was some trying as "delete attachments" is no official function.
But if you simply load the pdf of choice in the merge tab - and save it afterwards - the new pdf doesn't contain the attachments any longe + hyperlinks are still working.

      So - solved. Thanks again.
