Menu: impossible to go back

Hi all, I'm using kubuntu 11.10 (kde 4.7.4).
If, e.g., I go in menu/application/multimedia, I can't go back to application becasue I can't click on the "non extisting" arrow on the left.

click on "all applications" under the search area, these are called breadcrums, they replace the old arrow.
