    Where is kmenuedit in 4.8

    Ihave lost /usr/bin/kmenuedit after upgrade to KDE 4.8,

    Code:
    dpkg -L kde-workspace-bin  | grep kmenu | wc
          0       0       0
    Is there a replacement to edit Kmenu ?

    Maybe you just need to reinstall it?

    $ l /usr/bin/kmenuedit
    -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 6184 2012-01-24 20:18 /usr/bin/kmenuedit*

    $ aptitude search kmenuedit
    i A kmenuedit - XDG menu editor

      It was split out of kde-workspace-bin and is in a package of it's own now which isn't installed by default for some reason.

          according to your aptitude you have got it auto-installed, but its unclear which package caused install of your kmenueditor? perhaps here is some root cause (virtual package or so on) ?

          Could you please display a package that depends on kmenueditor?

            $ aptitude why kmenuedit
            i plasma-netbook Recommends kde-workspace
            i A kde-workspace Recommends kmenuedit (>= 4:4.8.0b-0ubuntu1~oneiric1~ppa1)

            I don't remember specifically installing it. I didn't think the default aptitude configuration automatically installed recommended packages, but I might be wrong about that.
