Have just installed Oneiric being a prior Maverick user.
I fatefully decided to use Muon to upgrade KDE from 4.7.x to 4.8.x using Muon.
It hit a snag in the middle of the downloads and then decided to continue the install, despite the missing update packages. Reading the forums tells me Muon needs work still.
So my KDE setup became toast, deleting many packages due to dependency issues.
I have tried to fix the problem using APT-GET and done most of it, but I need to know what essential KDE packages are missing.
I am clearly missing things like kuser.
Can someone please advise me the metapackage(s) to install that will give the equivalent apps that would have been installed on my laptop when I first installed Oneiric?
BTW is Synaptic still the best choice as a package manager? I used it on Maverick.
