[ANSWERED] I can't set password for kmail

I recently had some help getting kmail2 to run. There is one small problem remaining. After I set up the account I wanted it to store the password for the account. I don't want to use Wallet. When I go to the account settings under the general tab it shows fields for "Name, incoming server, user name, and password. The password box is greyed out and I can't input my password. Is there a way to change this or is kmail demanding I use Wallet?

    Hi
I'm sure that someone more knowledgeable than I will be by with a suggestion in a short while.

However, in the same place that you mention, I did, indeed, have to enter my password, it is a google g-mail account.

The only time that Kwallet asks for anything is when I shut the machine down and restart and then Kwallet asks me for my password for gmail and then I get a popup asking if I want to use the g-mail account.

I do not ever remember seeing the password box "greyed out".

I'll try adding another account and report back.

To my knowledge, kmail2 requires kwallet (for saving passwords)

Ah well, it's obviously not that big a deal. Thanks for the reply.

          Hi
I tried setting another account and Kwallet wanted to know if I wanted it to do the deed.
