Where'd this "widget dashboard" come from?

Alrighty, something new, it's been plaguing me for a couple weeks now. When I move the mouse to the top of the monitor, the screen darkens and I see this:



I have to click the little red X or press [Esc] to return to what I was doing before. Curiously, it's becoming a major interruption: I've never noticed just how much I accidentally bump the top of my monitor with my mouse until this odd behavior started.

My Google-fu is failing, I can't seem to figure out how to make that go away. Ideas?

SystemSettings>WorkspaceBehavior>ScreenEdges

You likely have "Show Dashboard" enabled on the top edge.

I had it fora while some small while back. It might be remotely possible that it was in an update to see what people would do with it, or ....if they would turn it off., don't know.
