The volume control buttons on F7, F8 and F9 used to work fine, but after reinstalling kubuntu they no longer work, what can i do to get them working again?

A bit difficult to answer the question, given that we don't know what laptop you have.Windows no longer obstructs my view.

Didn't realise it was different for every laptop
Anyway i got it solved, I tried playing around with a bunch of settings, but what finally did the trick was changing the master channel, whatever the hell that isComment
