    [RESOLVED]Starting Firefox als starts rekonq

    or at least it used to, because I resolutely uninstalled rekonq, so now I get an error instead.
    Could this be a bug?

    Cheers,

    I wonder if there was some sort of (symboilic?) link between rekonq and firefox? Idon't have rekonq on my Kubuntu and I have no errors concerning either browser.

      I think that it's more likely to be a misconfiguration on your PC as you're the only one seeing this problem.

      How are you starting Firefox? From the application menu or from a short-cut on the task-bar or desktop? I suspect that your short-cut has some unwanted parameters in it.

      What happens if you start Firefox from a terminal?

        It is indeed a configuration issue - I stumbled across it out by accident.

        Start->System settings->Default applications->Web browser
        Under Open http and https urls in the following browser:

        Change to firefox

        And while you are at it: If you, like me, use gmail, change the email client as well.

        Thanks everybody.

        Cheers
