Incorrect cube rotation with 2 desktops in one row

I have two desktops in one row, and desktop cube animation is set to use pager layout for animation. However, after restart the animation switches the desktops vertically rather than horizontally. The pager settings looks correct (i.e. 1 row), but I have to change it to two rows and than back to 1 in order to make it to show the horizontal animation. Have anyone else seen this issue?

This is a known bug in KDE 4.7. I read somewhere that it should be fixed for good in KDE 4.8, but here's hoping a fix is backported for those of us still using 4.7.

I realize that it is a "known bug" but the whole point of a "cube" is four faces not counting the top and bottom surfaces.

I have the same issue - but sometimes it is 1x4 (as I have set it up) rather then 2x2 i.e no up-down animation, not sure why it's correct sometimes and others it's not.
