I've been trying to insert Skype in the K menu using the menu editor. At the time of editing it shows up as expected in the Internet group, but when I save the menu and exit, it isn't there. If I show the hidden items, however, I see it. Yet in the settings for Skype, "hidden entry" is not checked. Why does it have "hidden" status nevertheless?

It's a bug in the menu editor. See Bug 283579 - Every new app is hiddenWindows no longer obstructs my view.
