Password authentication does not appear when I Install apps with muon.

I recently installed Kubuntu 11.10 kde 4.7.2. When I use Muon package manager to install applications, I get an error message that says: This operation cannot continue since proper authoriaztion was not provided.

Previously in Kubuntu 11.04, when I installed using Muon, a box requesting password authorization would appear; once entered, the download and installation would complete.

The only solution I have currently found to the problem is to press Alt+F2 and type in kdesudo muon. A window appears for the entry of a password, and I am able to use muon in superuser mode. This is unnecessary work to get the job done. How do I change Muon to automatically provide the password option? Thanks!
