The new Kontact-Kmail2 no longer creates events from emails by dragging to the Calendar Icon.
Instead of "Mail: xxxx" ( The Subject Line from the email ), it adds the Akonadi Link in the Event Subject Line.
It works fine to create a To-Do/Reminder, but I was using Events because they are harder to accidentally delete.
I would suggest making an additional Menu choice for creating an event from email in KMail2.
I think the same code for creating the To-Do could be modified to do the same for Mail-to-Event.
I was using the Calendar to keep track of correspondence in my past and current Job search. Worked Great!
I noticed that Evolution can do the email-to event.
But Kontact has been my main PIM for quite some time. I love the search function in the Calendar because I can search as far back in time as I have data, and output it on one screen.
