    {SOLVED} Flash quit working

I need some assistance, please. For some unknown reason Flash has stopped working with no known errors. I have flash-aid installed. What I have done so far:

    reinstalled latest beta flash
    reinstalled latest stable flash
    installed flash from MUON repository
    reinstalled Firefox
    renamed macromedia directory
    renamed mozilla directory
checked aboutlugins - shows two entries for flash

This is the extent of my knowledge. Any assistance will be much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Flash quit working

UPDATE: Flash works under a new user i.e. created a guest account and flash works. How can I fix this without "NUKING" my profile?

Thanks, but I already tried renaming /.macromedia, that doesn't work. The odd thing is that if I install gnash that DOES work, at least as well as gnash works.

Hmm, only thing I can think of is a user permissions problem...Check the groups that the new user account has and see if there's any groups (besides the new user group) missing from your user account.

Thanks NUKE but no joy. The new user had no extra privileges and it may have been running on the GNASH plug-in.

If anyone has ANY ideas, I am up for it!!!!!

JOY OH JOY! Flash works again!

I installed the Flash plug-in downloader from MUON and now FLASH works. That was it, installed the downloader package, went to Youtube and Flash acted just as it was supposed to. I didn't see anything load or re-configure, it just worked.

              Who says Linux isn't magic?!

Thank you to you who offered suggestions.

Well as soon as I said that Flash in Firefox worked, it stopped working. But you know what? Flash works just fine in Reconq. Bye bye Firefox, hello Reconq!

You can also enable the Partner repo and install adobe-flashplayer (Or what ever its call - not in front of my KDE box atm :-D).

This is the latest Flash version and supports 64bit as well.

However, if you are happy with Reconq, then that's cool too .
