Can't control volume from kmix properly

Hi all, I have problems with my audio levels. When I try to change volume levels with Kmix, nothing changes. I can go all the way down and mute it correctly, but as soon as I raise it a little bit it's as if it were already at maximum level. If I keep raising it, the volume remains the same. Volume from Amarok works flawessly, instead. Can anyone help me please control volume from Kmix?

Your audio system most likely runs on Pulse Audio.
For Pulse Audio there is a sort of 'MAster Control' called pavucontrol, install it and see if it gives you better control.

Thanks for your advice, Teunis, but using it didn't help. Basically, I can control the same settings from alsamixer. Rather, I was hoping to have Kmix work properly.

Good for you when Kmix has the same functions pavucontrol has.
But it's not uncommon certain ports are muted in/by pavucontrol resulting in them not being available in Kmix.
