What does the kmail message "cannot modify emails in folder" mean ?

Since My Oneiric upgrade (& having to run kmail-migrator manually a couple of times >) I now get this message when I receive mail. Otherwise the program seems mostly ok as far as I can tell.

Are you using IMAP? Do you get the same error with other Mail Apps? I think the error means the permissions of your folders don't allow for making changes. I haven't used Kmail in a long time, but from memory I got a similar error when setting up my system (a long time ago).

Thanks. I'm using POP. I think this is an akonadi issue. I've checked ownership & permissions - nothing to see there. Also it's a bit inconsistent - not every receipt triggers the message.
