    Some packages didn't install correclty - leaving unconfigured

    I get a message from Apper every time I do updates, telling me that a package didn't install correctly, will be left unconfigured, and I can see which one by clicking Details. I click Details and it's blank and tells me nothing. How do I track this down?

    do this
    Code:
    sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
    in a terminal and you should see the error and can copy past it hear.

    if it dosent exit with a error and just asks if you want to continue with installing the updates/upgrades it finds hit y then enter .....if you want to exit hit n and then enter.

      hmmmm... looks like the adobe flashplugin hadn't installed properly before. That could be because I told a previous update not to install it, but I never locked it. That command in terminal did not end in an error, but it did install the Flash Plugin. Now I just have to see if Flash still works right. I had previously (in 11.04) given up on the installer and had started using FlashAid in Firefox to take care of Flash.

      So.... we shall see...

          I would suggest also to run

          Code:
          sudo dpkg --configure -a
          to make sure all packages are configured correctly or find out why not.

          .
