I installed Kubuntu 11.10 and am having problems getting DVD playback to work. I have spent some time going through the forums and have enabled medibuntu, installed libdvdcss2, and installed kubuntu-restricted-extras. Unfortunately, I am still getting the message "Error reading NAV packet". I would really appreciate some help on this. What am I missing here?

Re: DVD playback with Kaffeine
Dragon Player also does a good job playing DVD's.
I find that with Kaffeine, the menu "buttons" are not initially displayed on the title page. If an item is selected and the option to return to the title page is selected, the menu buttons are now shown. This is a bit of a nuisance and I hope that this is fixed soon.

I am currently way from home for about 2 weeks, and I cannot find a DVD to illustrate the problem as I can only find older ones with unsophisticated menus.

Re: DVD playback with Kaffeine
I have now found a DVD that illustrates the problem I am having with Kaffeine playing DVDs.
The first image below shows the title page of a DVD on startup. I then selected an item and after this retuned to the main menu. It then showed the selection icons for this DVD as shown in the second image. I find that because the selection icons are not displayed, several attempts have to be made to select an item.
