Hi,
After the debacle with Unity, Gnome-shell and my dislike for both, I have decided to make KDE my everyday desktop environment.
I am, however, having some teething problems. By far the biggest at the moment is when ever I select 'System tray settings' the desktop (ie the panels and background) crash. They do eventually restart but them some of my widgets have then changed position.
Can somebody give me some pointers on what I need to look at to find out why 'System tray settings' causes this crash.
On further investigation, I get the same results with 'Application Launcher Menu Settings', 'Notifications Settings', and 'Shortcut Settings' on the 'New Activity' button.
Many thanks.
