I developed a problem when I reinstalled 11.10 today. When I try to load neww wallpapers from the desktop menu, it states: Unknown Open Collaboration service API error. (0)
Anyone got any ideas? I love Kubuntu, but find the Oxygen wallpapers disquieting.
p.s. I also get the same error message when I try getting new splash screen wallpapers.
PROBLEM SOLVED: Discovered the source of my problem was a foolishly installed "ppa/xorg command (be very careful what you install). The cure was 'sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg'. Hope I did the right thing, but everything is working now.
