    Some persisting problems after install

    Hi!

Been using Ubuntu several years and was imposed to change desktop due to Unity. I have a fresh 11.10 install with KDE 4.7.4 and 3 users.
There is a threshold changing desktop but I'm getting more and more comfortable.
I've run into the following issues
Note: I'm running with Swedish language so my referenced to windows might not be the exactly correct English.

    1. There is something wrong with Nepomuk. I have a Nepomuk-Service connection - KDE Crashhandler (Details: nepomukservicestub Process-id: 21796 Signal: Aborted (6)) window constantly open. If I close it, it immideately opens again. If I select Restart Program and Close it opens again. I have googled and found some threads about similar problems but no solution.

    2. When shuting down I have to make sure that everyapplication is closed (windows) or it will halt and in weird mode without a proper window handler.
Ex If I select shutdown with firefox open, firefox stays open and the only way I can close it is via Ctrl-Q. Note. Off cource the Nepomuk window from question1 also has to be closed manually.

    3. Sometimes (maybe one in 10) when I select Lock Screen the Screen is locked and I get the proper Enter Password dialog BUT the screen is not "blacked out". The full desktop is still visible. It is locked and I have to enter password to access, but .....

    4. When I get an indication of an update being available and click on it the muon application starts without asking for sudo rights, so I can't install the updates. I also had to add kdesu to the command in the main menu. Note. Nowdays I mostly use terminal but ...

    /Palle

Re 3. I've also seen that (maybe one time in 50) when the system is quite busy. I haven't looked into a solution.

Re 2., does this always happen? It shouldn't, unless KWin has had issues during operation. (It's normal for windows to lose decorations and desktop for a few seconds before they actually close, but not as seriously as you describe.)
I'd rather be locked out than locked in.

On 2. Yes every time, no exception. Could ity actually be that the real culprit is the Nepomuk issue that "halts" the regular shut down process. No matter if I had other windows open there is always that last Nepomuk error window to close before shutdown.

        About issue 1.)
Also adding a copy of the developer information from the crashhandler (note. I have made an error report some time ago).:
