Kopete is launching automatically : how to stop that ?

    I am on kubuntu 11.10
After each login, Kopete is launching automatically.
I am not interested and does not want this automatic launch (but I do not want to uninstall Kopete).
    What can I do ?

Kmenu > System Settings > Startup and Shutdown. If you see Kopete in the Autostart pane, uncheck it.

Open System Settings, click on the "startup and shutdown", Service Manager, and then check the bottom panel, "Startup Service". If you see Kapote there uncheck it.

There are two ways programs get started during login on kde. Firstly, as previously mentioned, System settings > Startup and Shutdown >Autostart will list application or scripts to be run during login. However, kde will also restore applications that where running at the end of the previous session.

If its not in the autostart list and its still starting then you probably have it running when you last logged out (check the system tray as well).

          Possible solutions:
          1) Add kopete to the exclude list (System settings > Startup and Shutdown > Session Management), though I haven't managed to get this feature to work as expected.
          2) Start with a manually saved or empty session (System settings > Startup and Shutdown > Session Management).
          3) Always remember to close it before you logout.

I Confirm that Kopete does not appear as "startup service"

Open SystemMonitor and locate the kopete daemon. If you find it, right mouse on it and select "terminate".

                Thanks.
I have terminate the process and when I reboot, kopete is no more there.
