    Application launcher bar is missing

I just installed Kubuntu on one of my computers. I have no idea how it happened, but my applicdation launcher bar is gone. Basically, I can't use anything on my operating system now, and I have no idea how to return it to the way it was.

On top of that, the panel at the bottom has become far too wide and I can't do anything to make it smaller.

Is there any kind of "system restore" I can do on that computer? I have tried everything, and there appears to be no option to bring back the launcher bar.

Right-click on the Panel and select Panel Options > Add Widgets...

In the search bar type: quicklaunch

Double-click on the Quicklaunch icon to add it to the Panel.

If you're ever in a pinch again, you can always use <alt>+<F2> to launch any program (as well as other cool stuff!). In fact, it's how I launch pretty much everything now. See: http://userbase.kde.org/Tutorials#In_KRunner

That tutorials page is pure gold. I just spent the best part of an hour or so tinkering with my setup... why oh why did it never occur to me before to un-clutter my desktop by putting my plasma widgets inside panels, that I can then set to auto-hide? Great stuff!
