Ok so I have no idea what's going on, but I can't add new widgets.
So long as I have only one virtual desktop running, widgets can be added fine, but if I try to add a widget to any desktop when more than one desktop is running, the screen slides over to the first desktop and does nothing.
On top of this, if I try to add widgets, my Application Launcher widget locks completely for some reason.
Wtf is going on? Restarting the computer doesn't help.
Problem doesn't exist anymore, I dont know why.
