Hi all,
I just noticed this yesterday (I don't do a lot of printing).
My printer has started stalling. It seems that I can send one or two jobs to the printer, and then it will accept another job and just sit there.
syslog shows messages like this ..
Dec 16 10:44:46 warbird hp[19367]: io/hpmud/musb.c 1420: unable to write data hp:/usb/Photosmart_8200_series?serial=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX: 45 second io timeout
.. repeated every 45 seconds until, after 6 such messages, the printer spits out a blank sheet of paper and displays "Printing cancelled". I then have to turn the printer off before I can do anything else with it (after cancelling the pending print job)
Some Googling suggests that it might be a CUPS problem and, IIRC, I upgraded some CUPS related packages earlier in the week.
Can anybody provide any pointers on how to fix this?
Cheers!
