That version hasn't been released for use with 11.10 in the standard repositories - yet. However, you can follow these instructions. if you want.

Can you help us understand why you think that's the case?

Please note the following warning from the Ubuntu kernel team about using mainline kernel builds:
Do mainline kernel builds include Ubuntu specific drivers?
By definition the mainline kernel builds are made from virgin unaltered mainline kernel sources and therefore do not, and should not, include any Ubuntu patches or drivers. There are also no binary drivers for these kernels.

Well -- that is just my assumption is that it is kernel related.
I have tried different settings for the screen saver and it is still giving me problem waking up from inactivity time out.

I am open to any ideas!!

Did you find this thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1865577

It looks like post #11 has some things to try.

              Re: upgrade kernel

I tried a hack fix that I saw in the thread.
SEEMS to be working so far... more testing is needed.

I will report back my findings in a little bit.

              Thanks ALL for your help.

                  Re: upgrade kernel

If you would do these two things, you may well help another person who runs into the same problem:

                  1. Edit the title of your original post, so it reads something like "SOLVED -- Zenbook resume problem with 11.10"

                  2. Edit your final post and paste in the instruction that actually fixed the problem.

                  Thanks!
