HELP Cant lock SCREEN Kubuntu 4.7.2

I am having issues. I cant lock my pc when either right click on the kde desktop or set a key combo in the global keyboard shortcuts. I am running kubuntu 11.10 and kde 4.7.2 Any fix for this i dont want to reinstall 11.04

do you get the option on the screen when you right click the desktop and it dosent take ? ...or is the option not their ?

yes if i right click on the desktop and click on lock screen the screen saver does not start

Never mind foud the issue did not have the xscreensaver packages or the kscreensaver package installed when i re did the laptop
