Dolphin Files

Hi I'm relatively new to using Kubuntu, and have just upgraded to 11.10. Whilst i'm impressed with aesthetic changes and software differences, i cant access any of my files via dolphin.

i get the following error message:

Could not start process Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Error loading 'kio_file'.

any solutions?

linux is not like windows restarting usually does not help fix things like that..

sounds like your missing part of the kde goodies. you should try the command

sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop

it should install all the packages that came with kubuntu.
