    Graphic driver and resolution on Kubuntu (question & problem)

    On Ubuntu I just click when Ubuntu pop up there is better driver 4 my vga. How on Kubuntu?

    On my test machine graphic card is ATI onboard and display is Samsung CRT. Kubuntu always use 1024x768/85Hz (that is better 4 eyes I know but if I change it to 1280x1024/75Hz after restart I am back to 1024x768/85Hz ?!

    go to kickoff>applications>system>additional drivers wile you have a Internet connection and see if it offers you one.

        the system will use what the monitor tells it to use as its default refresh rate. if you want to override that you will need to make an /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.

          You can also use xrandr settings and make them persistent rather than creating xorg.conf if you prefer.
