OK, I've held off as long as possible and searched for a solution until my eyes (and fingers) hurt. I have a Lenovo 3000 n200 with 2.5MB RAM, 300 MB Hard drive...I had Maverick running okay (with some flaky issues) and hoped an upgrade to 11.04 would help...when I upgraded, I lost my wireless connectivity. I then figured that I'd head to 11.10 and maybe all would be fixed. No wireless....The machine has 3945ABG wireless adapter....I think the right drivers are installed...the wireless worked fine this morning in Maverick 10.10...I don't think the adapter is the problem....from several posts, I thought this data might help....not sure what it all means:

12/29:
From another post, I typed in terminal mode:
sudo lshw -C network.
It noted that wireless was DISABLED.
I continued looking and found this:
http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...opic=3114695.0
in terminal mode, typed:
sudo kate /var/lib/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.state
I then changed 'WirelessEnabled=false' to ' WirelessEnabled=true'
then rebooted.
Works fine now.
Thanks
