    iPad 2 support

    Hi,

    My girlfriend just bought a ipad 2 (with iOS 5.0.1) and i cant open it propperly on Kubuntu 11.10.
    When i plug it, i can just see and download the photos.

    How can i solve this?

    (i have experience on kubuntu, but a comlete noob on Apple devices)

    I believe the best you can hope for is treating it like an ipod. Try installing gtkpod and see how that works out.
    " sudo apt-get install gtkpod ".

    It would seem that despite it's Unix roots, Apple is not interested in interfacing with Linux systems.

      GTKPod is detecting nothing about the ipad and the system opens it just to see the photos folder.

      There is any other software i can try?
