VIA vt2021 audio setup

Hello everyone
I've g41mts2p motherboard which includes a built in VIA VT2021 sound, the problem is that in kubuntu sound system it have two HD generic sound and internal sound, when i choose internal audio the speakers play well but the headphone doesn't play any sound, any suggestion how to modify my sound setup configuration so headphone works well

hello guys
i did the following
i removed alsa and pulse audio and guess what ?!!!
sound works well after i choosed HDA intel as a master in kmix

I was waiting for someone more knowledgeable than myself to drop by, but since you have things fixed, I was going to comment that about five years ago I purchased what I thought was a relatively board which had a VIA chipset in it and it was nothing but problems, so I am glad that either the Linux folks have engineered around it or that the VIA people opened their specs, don't know which.

OR...it might be just good ol' "adel ingenuity"!

From the looks of things, VIA still doesn't appear very Linux friendly...
