Mount USB pendrive with sync option

The device notifier in KDE can of course mount my pendrive when I plug it in, but it is not mounted with the sync option. So when I copy a large file, the KDE notifier will tell me it's done when in fact the file is still being copied. Trying to unmount the device will result in a timeout after which the drive becomes unaccessible.

It is no biggie, but for unsuspecting users like my wife this may be confusing. Is there no way to force a pendrive to be mounted with the sync option? Or does anyone know how to create an action for it?

    You can using udev rules...

Check out this link and see comment 3. They wanated to add acl's to the mount option, but you can substitute that for sync.

    Hope this helps!
