I would like to set up my laptop as dual monitor with a 20" monitor.
Here is my lspci:
I can set up dual monitor and my monitor size, placement etc in sys settings, but when I want to add a panel or widget to my 20" monitor video dies on my.
Since I am still using the default driver and have never done this i would like some aid.
1) Do I use "additional drivers" to install the prop ati driver or do I take this route:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/46976...adeon-hd-6470m
2) There also seems to be a problem with swithchable graphics:
http://forums.mydigitallife.info/thr...d3bb624b860551
Which I am not sure I understand. How do I know which graphic card is being used when?
Also I read that my card will go "up to" 1GB RAM. I know it is a dedicated card, but how can I find out how much RAM my card has.
There is nothing in the BIOS which gives my any info.
I tried installing prop drivers once on my older machine and it was a BPOS, so I would like to get my facts straight first
Cheers
