Just in case you're not aware of it, there is a ppa that builds kde from trunk (project neon):
https://launchpad.net/~neon/+archive/ppa

The nice thing about project neon is that it doesn't replace your existing (stable) kde installation.

I am awere of Project Neon, and i think it'a fantastic project (have it installed), but most, or all packages i have in goodies aren't there. Bespin isn't even in official repos for Oneiric, notably is an interestic app, wicd changed from 'gtk clone' to plasma applet, konsole got number of wishlist bugs solved, kate got new folding feature, etc. I have the PPA's for my personal use, but i've put it here, for anyone interested

i will have to rebuild notably, it's hard-linked to nepomuk in my stable PPA (which has tagged 4.7.2 )

I definitely like the plasmified wicd-kde...integrates nicely to the plasma-desktop.
