Installed the 21-Sep-2011 daily build yesterday. Installed on to two partitions ( / and /home) prepared with GParted, opting not to have updates downloaded while installing. Install went flawlessly. Everything on my HP is working, including the built-in webcam (after installing guvcview today). Activated (also today) the Broadcom STA wireless driver, which I haven't tested (under 11.10), but know that it works just fine under 11.04.
The only application that didn't work was Dragon Player. Even after adding the Medibuntu repository and installing the required packages, Dragon Player would not play my DVD's, complaining about missing/needed GStreamer plugins. Even when I installed all of them ('good', 'bad', and 'ugly'), Dragon Player would not play the DVD's. Installed Kaffeine, and it has no problems playing my DVD's, so I opted to keep it and uninstall Dragon Player.
I honestly don't notice what ever improvements 11.10 has over 11.04, but it is working just fine. Haven't tried (yet) to utilize Kontact/KMail, but will likely get to that latter. Until then, when I'm in 11.10, I can just go to my ISP Webmail account.
Life with Kubuntu is (and continues to be) good. 8)
