Also had problem width samba.

not a bad idea, actually.

but do note that as
kubuntu is limited to the amount of data available on a cd for its installer, vnc and samba, as wall as many other things, are not installed by default, but a well-rounded set of default applications are provided that are suitable for the widest range of users, everything else is readily available for installation as needed.

System Settings is the area to look for adding programs to KDE's startup
Also Kubuntu does have krdc and krfb for remote viewing and remote access, the viewer is fine, krfb can be troublesome iirc

Thx, moving from ubuntu to kubuntu. What is difference between cd and dvd iso?
This stuff is essential to me.
Vnc is working now.
Samba has same problem. Client asks user and pwd even width guest and everyone.

dvd as some extras, but mostly is language packages

samba, (not includued by default in Ubuntu either afaik) needs configuration, KDE doesn't have a kot of samba congfig tools of its own, the package kdenetwork-filesharing add some of these things. In Ubuntu the Samba default settings do not allow guest access iirc

In 11.10 Alpha, the tool is a little easier to use than the above link, and look different but works the same. If you are in 11.04 or 10.10, it will lokk like the examples given.

11.04 and I tried 2 kdesudo commands and they give me error.
Something is wrong in samba config.
In plain Ubuntu u need only to install samba, restart and share folder through nautilus.
I will read now samba config file.
