Re: 8/04 Daily installer formats wrong partition.
I know that there are many who want/desire any release of Kubuntu LiveCD/DVD to just 'do it all.' They want the equivelant of an all-in-one stereo system, as apposed to individual components.
I continue to use the tools best suited for the job at hand. I use GParted and/or Parted Magic for partition management and for partitioning before new installations of Kubuntu. I've never had any problem using this approach.Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

I do too.
I trust what I do with GParted and when using the Kubuntu install I generally opt for the manual partition configuration."A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.”

And I almost always use the partitoner in the installer, tho I generally don't change them once set up, so I basically don'r re-size or move my drives
